How we work

All products of Lammers&Lammers are being made by the two sisters themselves in their own studio in Haarlem, the Netherlands.

Starting with making the molds of all the objects that are found here and there… at flea markets, toy stores, etc.

Then everything is cast (with cast porcelain) in the plaster moulds. The nicest things are often created by different combinations of crazy objects.

Then the whole process of cleaning, glazing, painting and finally firing four times in all the ovens we have in the studio begins.

Porcelain is a tricky product, with a good memory for breaks and cracks. It can therefore sometimes be surprisingly distorted. That means throwing it away a lot and starting over.
