Ingeborg and Marit Lammers, 2 sisters, have been working together as Lammers&Lammers in their studio in Haarlem since 2012.
Started as self-taught artists, without any experience with ceramics, porcelain was the strongest preference. So that meant a lot of failures, throwing away products, crying and starting over.
The porcelain dolls, Pupkes as they are called, are their first designs.
The combination of the white porcelain with gold and delft blue appeals to them the most. The red shoes of the Pupkes really give it its own signature.
The collection was later expanded with other figures, such as frogs, dino’s, dogs, etc.
Each design is one with a wink, something lovely, something funny and always personal.
To finally see the result, which was created in their heads, gives them the greatest satisfaction!
